Grete Egan, Chair
Walnut Creek, CA
Grete Egan is one of the original founders of DLOC. She has been on the Board of Directors, President of the Board and is a frequent producer of the company mainstage productions. She also is the Production Manager and a recipient of the Walnut Creek Arts Council Award. She started the youth tours of the Contra Costa law league Superior Court and she sings in the St Mathews Lutheran Church chancel choir. Grete is also a member of PEO, a service organization that provides scholarship money to young women for college
Suzanne Brandt
San Ramon, CA
Suzanne Brandt is a professional dancer with an extensive performance background. She has appeared in DLOC musicals and now is an associate producer and choreographer for the company. As a member of Interact, Suzanne has contributed services to local food banks, convalescent homes, and to Kaleidescope (a physically and mentally challenged program). She has volunteered her time extensively in the performing arts realm, including involvement in Minnesingers Music in Motion, a touring ensemble that performs for nursing homes, community fairs and school districts. Suzanne has also worked for the Cultural Services Department for the city of Walnut Creek.
Cheryl Yee Glass
Danville, CA
Cheryl Yee Glass is the Music Director/Conductor for most of the DLOC musicals. She started playing bass in the orchestra while in college at U.C. Berkeley and began conducting in 1992 for DLOC. Currently, she is the Instrumental Music Director and District Coordinator of Music at San Ramon High School in Danville where she conducts an award–winning Jazz Band, Symphony Orchestra and Marching Band. She has also served on the DLOC Board of Directors as well as on the play-reading Committee (which ultimately became the DLOC Artistic Committee.)
Betty Harwood
Alamo, CA
Betty Harwood performed leading roles with DLOC for many years, and was publicity and marketing director from 1985 – 2001. She has also been a producer, assistant stage manager and assistant to the director. She has served on the DLOC Board of Directors and was on the play-reading committee since 1993. Betty studied classical voice and opera for 17 years, piano for 7 years and had 4 years of acting classes. Betty is currently a member of the marketing committee and is in charge of DLOC’s advertising as well as the company season brochure.
Diane Kamrin
Pleasant Hill, CA
Diane Kamrin is a performer and dancer who founded DLOC’s Stars 2000, a teen summer theater for youth between the ages of 13 and 20. She produces, choreographs and conducts the teen orchestra for one show each summer. She also teaches a DLOC teen theater dance class. She organizes a teen vocal group that sings at different venues during Christmas time. Diane is a recipient of the 2004 Walnut Creek Arts Council Award.
Debbie Shelley
Lafayette, CA
Debbie Shelley has been the properties mistress for DLOC on several of their productions beginning with No, No, Nanette in 2002. She has also worked with CCMT, St. Mary’s College in Moraga , Center Stage Theatre Company and staging for Gramercy Towers in San Francisco. She also costumed Contra Costa Children’s Chorus Young Opera Company productions of The Star Child and The Emperor’s New Clothes. She continues to be challenged with creating and finding authentic pieces for stage productions.
Georgia Benedict
Benicia, CA
Georgia Taylor Benedict has been DLOC's resident Stage Manager since 2001, and has stage managed in the Lesher Center for the Arts multiple productions annually since it opened in 1990. She has selected DLOC as her "theatre home" because of the technically challenging productions, tremendous management support, and extraordinarily talented casts and production teams that work together to create each of DLOC's intricate, top-notch productions.
Ellen Smith
Walnut Creek, CA
Ellen Smith has been producing DLOC shows for many years. She founded DLOC’s STARSTRUCK youth theater program for 8 -15 year olds. STARSTRUCK performs two original shows each year. She is the director of performing arts at the local Jewish Community Center and produces their teen theater program. Ellen is a college/career advisor at Las Lomas High School.
Rod Lucich
Pleasant Hill, CA
Rod is an IT Business Consultant and Project Manger in the Financial Investment industry. His interest in musical theatre came from helping with various productions that his daughter was involved with (Starstruck, Willows & Pleasant Hill Middle School). Rod’s first exposure to DLOC came as the Co-Property Master for Ragtime. He then began to attend the Artistic Committee meeting as a guest and later became a voting member. His latest project was as the assistant producer of DLOC’s La Cage aux Folles.
Don Wilson
Pleasanton, CA
Don Wilson is a long-time performer, dancer and choreographer for DLOC. He taught advanced tap classes and choreographed many shows for DLOC and other companies around the Bay area. He had been a member of the play-reading committee since 1993. Don has worked as a backstage crew member and as an assistant stage manager for DLOC. Since retiring, he serves on the artistic committee for DLOC and the Human Services Commission for the City Of Pleasanton.
John Pangia
Walnut Creek, CA
John Pangia is a professional musician and conductor who has been playing in the DLOC orchestra for many years. He is currently the orchestra manager and has previously served on the DLOC Board of Directors.
